Cass Gardiner and Kelly Zemnickis, along with Ring Five Impact Docs, are proud to present an evening of comedy and conversation with a special screening of the short film Janelle Niles: Inconvenient, and a presentation of Got Land? Canada's first all-Indigenous comedy show created by Janelle Niles, which has toured nationally.

MC’d by acclaimed Indigenous comedian Don Kelly, the evening will feature a screening of the film, a special Got Land? comedy show featuring Janelle, Don and Toronto-based comedian Denise B McLeod with a Q&A to follow.

Janelle Niles is a Black, Mi’kmaw, two-spirited woman from Sipekne’katik First Nation in Nova Scotia and a stand-up comedian. Despite a tumultuous upbringing, Janelle embraces her biracial experience and queer identity, using stand-up to usher in a new era of inclusive, Canadian comedy.
