Share Apr 02, 2024 Hot Docs News Rogers Audience Award to Be Presented at 2024 Hot Docs Festival Hot Docs is pleased to announce that the Rogers Audience Award and accompanying $50,000 cash prize, courtesy of Rogers, will be presented at the 2024 Hot Docs Festival. Feature-length documentaries screening as part of Hot Docs Festival that have a Canadian director and are CAVCO certified will be eligible for the Rogers Audience Award. Audience members can vote in cinemas by scanning the QR code on screen after the film. Voting closes 60 minutes after each screening. Votes will be tallied and the winning films with the highest average scores will be announced at a special encore screening on Sunday, May 5. Eligible films: 7 Beats per Minute Adrianne & the Castle Any Other Way: The Jackie Shane Story Ari's Theme Beethoven’s Nine: Ode To Humanity Born Hungry Curl Power Disco's Revenge A French Youth Intercepted Karuara, People of the River Lost in the Shuffle Me, Michael and I A Mother Apart My Dad's Tapes Okurimono Red Fever Seguridad Singing Back the Buffalo The Soldier's Lagoon An Unfinished Journey Wilfred Buck Yintah Please note: Voting is available for screenings up to and including Friday, May 3.
