A filmmaker unearths rarely seen footage of Palestinian wildflowers, some of the earliest known colour documentation of the region, shot by Scottish missionaries in British-occupied Palestine. This essay-style intervention into the original footage is an act of reclamation that poses crucial questions about the role of image-making as a tool of both testimony and violence. Mariam Zaidi.
