Hot Docs is delighted to unveil the Surprise Screening set to captivate Toronto audiences at its highly anticipated 2024 Festival.
Industry Passholder tickets are available online starting at 9:00 pm the night prior to the screening date, and up until one hour before the screening time. Passholders can also obtain tickets in person at the screening venue's box office on the day of the screening upon presentation of their pass. Venue box offices open one hour prior to the venue's first screening of the day.
Bread & Roses offers a powerful window into the seismic impact on women’s rights and livelihoods after Kabul fell to the Taliban in 2021. The film follows three women, in real time, as they fight to recover their autonomy. Sahra Mani captures the spirit and resilience of Afghan women through her raw, intimate depiction of their harrowing plight. The Apple Original Film is an Eyan Foundation presentation in association with Extracurricular. The documentary is produced by Jennifer Lawrence and Justine Ciarrocchi with Sahra Mani, alongside executive producers Malala Yousafzai and Farhad Khosravi.
