How do you capture a moment in creativity that is about to change everything?

While hanging out with his friends, filmmaker Stephen Chung does exactly that. From basement jams to Lollapalooza, Stephen documents the rise of Broken Social Scene while navigating his very real friendships and disappointments along the way. 20 years later, with tender hearts and a couple of scars, it’s time to share how it all happened.

“You may know this band as Broken Social Scene, but to me they are my friends. I followed them around for years with my camera without knowing one day they’d be celebrated around the world as one of Canada’s biggest indie rock bands. I tried to make a film about them before. They said no! 20 years later, I am trying again." - Stephen Chung

Join members of Broken Social Scene for a Q&A after the January 24 screening.

Doors will open 45 minutes prior to the January 24 screening.
