Watch in Cinema

Back to the Bloor: Revel in the rich theatrical history of Toronto's beloved repertory cinema with fun series of throwbacks to when the building was known as the Bloor Cinema.

A moving love story about a National Geographic photojournalist (Clint Eastwood) on assignment to shoot the historic bridges of Madison County, Iowa, who meets a housewife (Meryl Streep), whose husband and children are away at the county fair for several days. The film traces a brief affair that is never sordid but rather one of soulmates whose paths have crossed too late.

Based on the best-selling novel by Robert James Waller and directed by Eastwood, The Bridges of Madison County won popular and critical acclaim on its release and was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actress for Meryl Streep.
