Good morning, angels! Drunk Feminist Films is back this March to roundhouse-kick your winter blues and serve up a decadent meal of problematic cinema delights.
On March 27, secret agents Natalie Norman and Sima Sepehri take on Charlie’s Angels – the 2000 version, obviously (with apologies to Kristen Stewart, let us never speak of the 2019 remake). On its 25th anniversary, we return to the halcyon days when adapting beloved pre-existing IP was still relatively unusual, and not the only possible way to get a film made.
On March 28, author and world’s hottest divorcée Scaachi Koul celebrates the launch of her new essay collection Sucker Punch with a 15th anniversary screening of Eat Pray Love, a documentary about sensual spaghetti-eating and one heartbroken white woman’s medicinal use of South Asian people and traditions.
Round up your pals: tickets will go on sale Tuesday, February 25 at 12:00pm ET. Coming to both screenings? Visit the merch table for a free gift! Drunk Feminist Films will donate 10% of ticket sale profits to Sistering.
About Drunk Feminist Films
Since 2013, Drunk Feminist Films has been producing interactive events that use shouty, snarky & fun-fuelled commentary to tease apart the tropes of mainstream movies. Because we'd rather laugh than cry about representations of gender, race, sexuality, class and other aspects of identity in pop culture. Drinking definitely not required.
This is a third-party event. For more information, please visit drunkfeministfilms.com.
