Indie Sleaze Nights

Nostalgic for the days of trucker hats and skinny jeans? Still got your Strokes CDs and a janky polaroid camera? Hot Docs Cinema has you covered at its new Indie Sleaze night – a monthly evening of movies, music and capital v "VIBEZ", tuned to all things aughts.

With movies about the era’s music and pop-culture legends, perfectly curated playlists, and drink and ticket specials for the best period-specific costumes, this is the chance for both creaky Millennials and Gen-Z upstarts to (re)live the early 2000s.

Mark Hunter on The Cobrasnake: Y2Ks Archive

Armed with just a Polaroid and a primitive website, legendary photographer Mark Hunter, aka The Cobrasnake, captured the party scenes of Los Angeles and New York during the hipster-glam heyday of the 2000s—and in doing so defined the look of a generation. Join Hunter for an exclusive look at his new book, The Cobrasnake: Y2Ks Archive.
