Cast your vote for the Hot Docs audience awards and $50,000 Rogers Audience Award!

Voting for the Hot Docs audience awards and the $50,000 Rogers Audience Award, courtesy of the Rogers Group of Funds, is open April 28 to May 6.

Determined by audience poll, the Rogers Audience Award will recognize each of the top three eligible Canadian films with a cash prize. All films are eligible for the Hot Docs audience awards. Voting for all films closes at 11:59 pm on Friday, May 6.


In-Cinema Screenings: Your online voting link will be available at the end of the in-cinema screening. Enter your 14-digit ticket number to cast your vote (1-lowest, 5-highest). One ballot per ticket.

Online Streaming: If you are streaming the film online, you must use the stars  (1-lowest, 5-highest) on the streaming page to cast your vote.
 

Eligibility
All films are eligible for the Hot Docs audience awards, which will recognize the top films as determined by audience poll. The winner of the Hot Docs Audience Award for feature documentary also qualifies for consideration for the Oscar for Documentary Feature without standard theatrical runs, provided the films otherwise comply with the Academy rules.

Feature-length documentaries screening as part of Hot Docs Festival Online that have a Canadian director and are CAVCO-certified will be eligible for the Rogers Audience Award.
